In the backcountry of the Northwest, the Bird King is killed. The throne is taken by his brother. Seven Boots, son of the dead king, makes a blood pact and a promise to avenge his late father.

“The Kingdom of Birds” is an animated feature film that tells a tale of betrayal and vengeance set against the barren, dry landscape of the Brazilian Northwest’s wastelands in all their glory. It is a loose adaptation of William Shakespeare’s Halmet, featuring birdman bandits.
