Plot Summary
In 1961, after Jânio Quadros steps down, the military tries to prevent vice-president João Goulart from taking over as president of Brazil. In the depths of Piratini Palace, Leonel Brizola, Governor of Rio Grande do Sul, leads the resistance against this coup. Two brothers fight over the love of the same woman even as they fight for “Legality”.
